Job - Manager, Health Systems Training, in Princeton, New Jersey ...

PURPOSE:
Responsible for the design, development and delivery of Training Curriculum as it relates to the technical, product and medical knowledge of all Health System (HSM/HSDBM/HSDCS) sales personnel. To develop programs that will enable the Commercial Model team to achieve performance and sales objectives. Responsible for the design and delivery of new hire and enhanced training for the HS team and the evaluation as it relates to the skills, technical, product, and disease state knowledge. Liaise closely with all key departments such as Managed Markets Sales, Diabetes Sales, Managed Markets Strategy, Sales Force Effectiveness, Medical, IT, Regulatory Affairs, Talent Management, Sales Operations, and Sales Leadership to ensure curriculum design and implementation will drive superior business and sales.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the AD/Sr. Manager, Managed Markets Sales Training. Interacts with Field Sales and Home Office personnel regarding training initiatives. External relationships include interaction with various vendors for training needs. Works closely with HSM/HSDBM/HSDCS teams, Managed Markets Strategy, Talent Management, instructional designer(s), POA Core Team, and Brand Marketing teams. External relationships include working with various vendors to supplement training needs. Works closely with Regional Business Directors and ADFST to elicit needs/feedback and ensure ongoing execution excellence and evolution of established curriculum.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
? Develop, design and deliver all product and disease state curriculum and assist with the execution of all stated programs to HS teams
? Develop activities/curriculum, focusing on the development of technical and product knowledge, territory business plans, automation technology, and other job performance-related skills and knowledge
? Develop self-study programs and updates when determined necessary
? Implement knowledge certification programs
? Assist in coaching and developing of HS Field Force in coordination with Managed Markets Strategy to execute Phase Training Classes
? Design all Phases/levels of training which will incorporate various learning channels such as e-learning, text, video/audio and simulation techniques
? Works closely with and contributes to the POA/Marketing core team to assess, design, develop and evaluate the planning and implementation of relevant Health Systems content (agendas, training workshops and field guides) for all pre-POA and POA meetings
? Manage all phases of project management and coordination with vendors

NEEDS ASSESSMENT/DESIGN/DELIVERY
? Design and develop all levels of HS Phase Training curriculum for newly hired HS field sales
? Acquire and maintain a high level of training methods, technical, product and competitive knowledge
? Assist in conducting needs analysis which will assist in evaluating program design needs
? Design of all basic and advanced training
? Evaluate and recommend appropriate programs/materials from outside resources to fill training and development needs
? Update training materials as needed
? Apply adult learning and instructional design principles when developing training programs and materials
? Implement training programs and materials for new product introductions/launches and sales force expansions/adaptations

ADMINISTRATION
? Manage budget according to program design allotments
? Establishes, oversees implementation, and monitors adherence to administrative policies and procedures

PROGRAM DELIVERY
? Leads and facilitates in the delivery of all levels of Phase Training, (including new product introductions/launches/expansions) curriculum for newly hired Health Systems field sales
? Assist Regional Field Trainers in execution of all levels of Phase/Field Based Training programs for HS field sales team
? Works with Managed Markets Strategy, Sales Force Effectiveness, Medical and Brand Marketing to develop timely programs for implementation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately 30% overnight travel

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
? Bachelor?s degree required
? 7+ years pharmaceutical sales (Hospital/Institutional Sales preferred) and/or training experience
? Preferred Health System experience
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
? Proven track record or sales performance results
? Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
? This is a developmental position. Must have strong interest in progressing into product management, field management and/or managed healthcare roles
