Description
The Sr Director Strategy is responsible for identifying and developing a roadmap of strategic plays and initiatives for a specific line of business by aggressively pursuing and utilizing key information sources to analyze critical industry intelligence, trend and consumer data, synthesize it, and develop strategic recommendations that enable operating group leadership to set, act and monetize upon strategic direction. This position will be responsible for identifying future profit pools and driving Best Buy to deliver value propositions through multiple channels & key profit drivers for the future.
The Senior Director will:
- Provide and continually refine a comprehensive assessment of existing competitive assets, including financial performance, strategic focus, new product introductions, strategic alliances, core competencies and capabilities, and new distribution channels.
- Lead matrix teams in gathering and synthesizing consumer, competitor, new technology, trend, supplier and industry information that produce relevant and actionable insights for leadership.
- Build and maintain partner relationships focused on delivering new and incremental value and growth resulting in Best Buy shareholder value.
- Act as a key driver in the business team and enterprise growth/strategic planning process.
- Share their expertise and perspectives throughout and across the enterprise.

Basic:
3-5 years experience in developing and using critical professional networks inside and outside BBY to gain competitive intelligence and apply it to strategy development and execution.
8-10 years of experience managing cross functional disciplines; Inventory, Merchandising, Retail, Planning, Logistics, E-Commerce
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree or higher
3-5 years of experience in Business Development and/or Strategic Planning
8-10 years of general management experience
